As civilization grows, it’s everyday more difficult to keep on living in an old and traditional house in the middle of the city. This happens everywhere, and also in Melaka, but luckily we managed to find Apa Kaba Home&Stay.
This guesthouse, situated in a house constructed in 1912, is located few minutes walking away from downtown. As there are only eight rooms and the owners live in the same house, you will really have the feeling to be staying in a friend’s house. Also helps how careful and attentive are the owners, Kenny and his wife Linda, with their guests.
In the morning you will enjoy a very good breakfast. In fact, everyday you will be able to try different local sweets and salty snacks, combined with seasonal fruits and unlimited toasted bread with butter, jams and kaya. And to drink with it, you will have as much tea and coffee as you need to wake up.
The rooms are simple, but nice and clean, some of them with AC and others with fan. Since there are not many rooms after the second night spent there you will already know all the other guests and also even if it’s fully booked will still be in a peaceful environment.
Surrounding the guesthouse there is a big garden with a chilling area with sofas. Definitely a great place where to relax at night after visiting the city, where to hang out with other clients or where to cuddle the cats that are wandering around.
