Right in the city center of Yangon, a couple of minutes walking away from the well-known Sule Pagoda and right in front of the Central Railway Station, you will find East Hotel.
An orange and high building standing on the main street, where from its top you can have a view over Yangon downtown, while doing some exercise in the little gym on the rooftop or chilling in the smoking area next to it.
There are different kinds of room, but all of them equipped with a big bed, AC, flat screen TV with international channels and instead of the classic kettle, you will find a proper coffee machine. One of the things that we liked the most in the room was the shower. It was original because one of the walls was a big glass, giving you the feeling of more space both in the bathroom and bedroom, definitely needed for the smaller ones.
The breakfast is complete. There is a part that is buffet with bread, cereals, seasonal fruits and pastries, all combined with a selection of different kinds of juices, coffee and tea. In plus, you have the chance to order a dish à la carte chose between western or asiatic cuisine.
Another thing that definitely we found great, is that in every floor there is a fridge with a lot of complimentary water bottles, that you can take anytime you are thirsty.
