This is a family hotel, and one of its strongest points is undoubtedly its warm and friendly atmosphere, due to its employees who treat you as one of them.
On the ground floor, next to the reception area, there is a common area with several sofas, a large TV and a thermos with free hot tea at all hours of the day.
There are different types of rooms but the one I was in was the double one. It had a double bed, a television, a refrigerator, air conditioning and a couple of tables. It also had a private bathroom and a nice and chilling small balcony. It was clean, comfortable and everything worked properly.
The price of the accommodation does not include breakfast but you can also have breakfast there in the mornings by paying it separately.
One point of improvement, even if actually I was told it was quite usual in Beirut, is the Wi-Fi that is only available for free in the common area on the ground floor and if you want to get online from the room you have to pay extra for each night.
Finally, just say that Regis Hotel may not be the best hotel you will find in Lebanon but it is one of the cheapest. And for that price, you’ll find yourself only 30 seconds walking away from the spot where the corniche starts, so it’s worth it! Ah, and if you come by car, you will be really glad to know you will be able to enjoy their free parking in the center of the city.
