We stayed in a simple but colourful double room, a little dark, but quite spacious and with a good fan ventilation, that made us forget about having A/C. When you check-in you will have two complimentary bottles of water in the room and once finished you will be able to refill them at the dispenser available at the first floor. If you need boiling water you can ask at the reception and they will provide you. As well, if you buy some food that needs to be in the fridge you can conserve it in the shared one downstairs. In the morning you will also have the breakfast included. Right now it’s so simple, only a couple of toasts with butter and tea or coffee, but they are planning to change it into a small buffet.
The reception is situated inside of the souvenir shop that the owner, Mr. T, has at the ground floor. You will notice you are there when you see the beautiful mural in the entrance, drawn by one of his daughters. But actually the shop will change also in the following months, when it will turn into a lobby. This way finally there will be a common area for the guests, that it lacks right now.
If during your stay you want to rent a motorbike, it couldn’t be easier. Just let them know, they will call the rental service and they will bring you the moto to the guesthouse in few minutes.
Its highlight by far is the location, right in the heart of the old town in line with the Sino-Portuguese style of the neighborhood. Probably even more charming during the weekly local market every Sunday along the street, but unlucky we could not see it.
And by the way, do not forget to ask Warin, the other daughter of Mr- T, to show you their gallery about Phuket and local culture. She will be more than glad to explain you all about it.
