Right in the center of the old town of Georgetown, you will find this quiet and characteristic hotel. As a matter of fact, they prefer not to be called Hotel, but Residence instead, as they want to do their best to make feel their guests like home.

And they do! Having only nine rooms, they will really take total care of you. Chew, that works at the residence, is always available for a friendly talk with you about his culture and to advice you the best local places whereto eat, and what to visit. The name of the lodge is Lang Hoose, due to the first owner was Scottish and in his mother tongue means long house. And it’s perfectly chosen since this is the exact shape of the hotel, a total of 85 meters from the front door to the bottom.

The rooms are really characteristic. Ours had a little seating area right in the entrance and through a flight of stairs you have access to the actual bedroom. There was no TV or phone in order not to break the vintage style of the room and to encourage the guest to spend time in the common areas all together. One thing that we found cool and surely innovative it was the way to contact the reception, instead of calling them, you will be able to do it fast through WhatsApp or Facebook. In our case, the bathroom was shared with another room, but it was so clean and big.

Worth to be told also is that while at 12pm usually you need to check-out of any hotel, here you can ask for a late check-out until 2pm free of charge.
